Obituary for Gerry Maisey

MAISEY, Gerald (Gerry) – of Belleville, entered into rest at KHSC-Kingston General Hospital, on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at the age of 82. Dear son of the late Buster & Gertrude Maisey. Loving husband of the late Judi Maisey (nee Roseberry). Cherished father of Trevor (Carol), and Dana (Paul). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Briana, Matthew, Sierra, Madison and Emma, His love will also carry on through his great-grandchildren; Grace, Bodhi, Dawson, Harper & Avery. Predeceased by great-grandson Jaxon, and two sisters; Dot and Karen. Gerry will be missed dearly by all of his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  Gerry joined the army in 1963, leaving his hometown of Campbellton N.B and heading to Ontario where his early Military career in Infantry found him taking part in key moments of Canadian history such as the FLQ Crisis and the infamous 1971 Kingston Penitentiary Riot. He would later decide to become a Military Police officer for the remainder of his Military career. He was a lover of sports, especially hockey and his beloved Habs. Cremation has taken place.  A Memorial Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273) on Sunday, February 25th, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
