DOXTATOR, Winnifred (Winnie) Pearl

89 years of Trenton, ON, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023 at Kingston General Hospital.  Winnie was born December 27, 1934, Madoc, ON to the late Robert (Roy) and Hanna Pearl Gryce (Beauderie).  Beloved wife of the late Wallace (Wally) Doxtator for 66 years.  Winnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Wally was the love of Winnie’s life and her most precious were her children and grandchildren.  Winnie enjoyed curling, golf and reading, a true competitor and a wealth of knowledge.  Spending time with her grandchildren at family gatherings brought Winnie so much joy.  Beloved Mother to Karen Harder (Dexter), Chris Doxtator (Carrie), Greg Doxtator (June) and Russell Doxtator (Suzanne).  Dearest grandmother to Amy Harder (Matt Longo), Sarah Wilson (Craig), Don Harder (Rachel), Ryan Harder, Katie Geleynse (James), Lindsay Empey (Adam), Caroline Doxtator, late Wallace Winfield (baby) Doxtator, Tammy Doxtator-Jones (Daniel), Kevin  Doxtator (Amy), Aaron Doxtator (Elyse), Adam Doxtator (Janine Schmitke) and Matthew Doxtator. Great-grandmother to Emma, Dexter, Rosa, Beau, Emily, Laura, Olivia, Natalie, Dean, Mikayla, Julie, Ava, Callie, Claire, Kylie, Blair, Madison, Morgan and Theodore.  Dear aunt of Joyce Brady (Bill), Geraldine Fobert, late Dick Fobert (surviving wife Jane), Ron Gryce, Linda Law (late Rick), late Dale Gryce, late Glenn Gryce (surviving wife Bonnie), Charles Smith and families. Winnie was predeceased by sisters, Leona Fobert, Jean Personn & Bessie Smith, brothers, Ron, Percy and Fred Gryce.  Dear sister-in-law of late Doug and Thelma Mason, Leslie Doxtator (Dianne), Royce Doxtator (Leola), late Bob and Marilyn Hanthorn, Everett Doxtator (Karen), late Jim and Nancy Seymour, Beverly Mavin (Mert), late Joseph Doxtator (surviving wife Coleen) and Laurie Franklin (John). Winnie will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends. A celebration of Winnie’s life will be held at the Steele Funeral Home, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613-968-2273), on Monday, December 18th, 2023, at 11am, followed by interment at the Belleville Cemetery. All are invited back for a luncheon at the Steele Family Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Farmers Wellness Program, Belleville General Hospital Oncology Unit or Heart & Stroke (Hastings) would be appreciated by the family.
